On Trojan Horses, The #Goonpopulous & Worldwide Pedo Busts

Hello internet,

The progressive and tolerant #goonpopulous showed its ass off at yet again, this time at Berkeley University the night before last.  The violent protest, or riot, is said to have been initiated over a homosexual journalist named Milo Yiannopolis of Breitbart News  , being scheduled to give a talk.  I know, crazy right?

Now, if you haven’t witnessed the violent temper tantrum just yet, or simply don’t believe me, take a look at the footage in the videos below.

If you are currently or recently have been setting things on fire, damaging property, physically assaulting individuals or groups with opposing views, funding or organizing this angry mob, or blindly accepting and spreading ‘news’ with no actual evidence behind it, the statement in this new piece may be meant for you.

On Trojan Horses

“Perhaps you were transformed into an ill-informed simpleton by the prolonged misuse of ‘smart’ technology.”

If the statement above happens to apply to you, know that the revolution has happened already & you missed it. I’d like to include this urgent message of 4 Beatles from across time for the #goonpopulous

Listen carefully.

On a brighter note, the worldwide pedophile ring is unraveling fast. Tons of arrests made around the planet. 474 arrests made, I believe on February 2, 2017, in Los Angeles alone. Google it for more info.

And they said it was a conspiracy.

The Old Fool: An Epic Tale To Enrich Painting

Hello again art lovers!

I hope all is well in your worlds.

I know, its been a while since I’ve posted a new blog entry.  I wish I could say that I’ve been painting for the duration of my M.I.A status, but I haven’t.  You see, I began painting the “Kakhati” art around the simple theme of laughter.  Kakhati is a Sanskrit word from ancient India that roughly translates into English as “Laugh out loud”.  Anyway, after working through a few pieces,  I felt like “Kakhati” could be enriched and possibly even flourish if a little more thought was thrown into the mix.  With this in mind, I attempted something new.  I wrote an epic for source material.

Don’t bet me wrong, I know other artists like William Blake, have been fond of combining their painting and writing talents to make more elaborate works, but I’ve never really utilized the combination.  Writing has always been one of my great hobbies and truthfully, I’ve probably written much more than I’ve painted this year, so it seemed natural to assimilate the hobby into my work.

I’ve only completed a few newer pieces and they’re  little more than quick studies, but now that my epic is finished, I have a treasure trove of rich, fanciful imagery stored up in the ol’ dream machine.  The tale centers around an amnesiac who lives alone on an island.  As a result of a frustrating, zen-like conversation with a hungry pelican that swooped down to steal his roasted fish, the amnesiac is charged with a perilous quest and dubbed the “Old fool”.  The old fool must find the black wolf that carries the stolen of bag of countless treasures.  Inside the bag are three items which will console the weeping dragon.

kakhati_spring_dragonAs you may be able to imagine, I am very excited about the upcoming paintings featuring a selection of imaginative scenes from the epic.  I’m still not sure whether I want to use oil paint for realism, or watercolor for a more whimsical approach to the imagery, so I’ll  probably do both.  A long-time friend and collector of my work phoned the other day, and after hearing about the project, he graciously offered to provide the funding for most of the supplies I needed.  I happily accepted the support, so it’ll only be a matter of time, before the old fool’s adventure is  translated into visual art.

Synched & Nemesis

I haven’t been able to work on the “La Dav” commission much this week as I have been busy looking after my kiddo, but I’m like a shark and I never stop swimming….  I did however, get to finish up a few watercolor pieces upstairs.  I’m hoping to get back to the “La Dav” piece later today.

2 NEW Watercolors + The “Schoch” Commission Was Completed

Hello again,

Since my last blog post I finished two new watercolor pieces.  Both are 11 x 14″ on 90lb watercolor paper.  The first is titled “Wicked Gods With Little g’s & Big Dicks”,  I’ll explain.  As always, I’ve been shooting plenty of footage documenting the progression of  Mr. Schoch’s piece.  Monkeys are in the composition, so I searched the web for monkey songs.  Anyway, I found one that I hadn’t heard since I was a teenager….  “My Monkey” by Marilyn Manson.   Anyway, the song is a bit too much for the Schoch video, but I wanted to somehow  turn the experience of re listening to “My Monkey” after all these years into a piece of art.  I used to love Marilyn Manson’s tunes.  I still do despite the fact that never listen to the songs anymore.  I guess I’m just not as angry as I used to be.

The second watercolor was really created by accident.  I was playing around with changing up the index menu text on my website.  I figured the menu would look cool hand written in watercolor.  Anyway, I decided I wasn’t up the task of dealing with all the html on that particular day and began to doodle beside the text.  I wound up painting a funny little image of The Joker.

This piece is titled.  “The Artist Formerly Know As Joker”

Both of these new works can be found on the gallery page of my website.  Just click HERE.

In other news.  I finished the “Schoch” commission.  He loves it and so does his 5-year-old daughter who is featured in the piece.  It will be a while before I can ship the piece though.  The paint is so thick and heavy…it will take some time to dry.  I plan to put the progression video together today or tomorrow, but in the mean time, check out the images below.
