2013 ‘Pussy Hat’ Prophesy & More

Hello internet,

I’m sure many of you are frightened, but don’t worry, it’s all worked out.

I haven’t posted a blog since November, after the election.  No, I’ve been setting back watching things develop.  Now, I don’t trust one source of news completely, so I look around and compare what different sources are covering and reporting.  After the massive fail and blatant proof of bias, I have thrown off mainstream media outlets such as the Washington Post, CNN, The New York Times, almost completely.  I still venture over to see what spin these networks are putting on current events, but that’s about it.  I’ve heard from a little bird, that these company’s audiences are all suffering and have dwindled down to almost nothing, but that’s only what I’ve heard.

Some interesting developments concerning groups affected, or some might say warped, by prolonged exposure to identity politics have surfaced again the last week or so, and these goons are really showing their asses off.  In fact, after setting in contemplation since the November 8th election, I have discovered more examples of prophesy contained in my 2013 – 2016 art creations, namely in the collections, “Art Is My Way Of Chucking Civilization Out The Window” and of course, “Apoko-Lips”.    Today well take a look at one in particular.

ckirk_csfifteen_b This large-scale museum piece was painted with oil between the years of 2012 and 2013.  It’s titled “It’s Like Having A Gun You Can Pet #2″ or “Pet Gun 2” for short.  Now you can clearly see, in the left-hand corner, the fleeing female, painted with much less fervor, wearing a ‘pussy hat’.  Now before you call me a misogynist, let me tell you that I fully support feminism in its classical form, but what we’re dealing with today is not classic feminism.  No the ideology has been gradually altered via long-term social engineering methods and now we have neo feminism, which is essentially the philosophy that women should be elevated above their male counterparts and are the superior gender.  Now this is totally unbalanced and goes against philosophies that have illustrated the importance of balance in nature for almost 3000 years.  If you factor in the point that there are and have been, far more individuals of male gender, on the planet, at any given time, as there were Jews to be murdered during Adolf Hitler’s reign of terror, the philosophy of neo feminism is clearly shown to be on a higher level of ‘fucked up’ and more dangerous to the human species than Nazi ideology ever was. There is a reason Wonder Woman left Amazon Island ladies.

Anyway, here’s the bad news.  My prophesies generally manifest in some form or other and this 2013  oil piece doesn’t paint a pretty picture for the neo feminists or their ‘pussy hat’ dupes.  It’s clear the pussyhatter is fleeing.  She’s fading.  Her pursuing counterpart is richly colored and the oil is thick.  There is a prehistoric terror bird called Gastornis, which was an apex predator that had no natural  predators of its own.  The masked figure rides the feathery beast like a horse, symbolizing power, and birds flock behind, giving chase as well.  In ancient mystery traditions from around the world, feathers, wings, or birds were symbolic of higher intelligence, so basically, your incredibly flawed ideology is squared off against balance.  The dynamic combination of power and intelligence is against you. You are a piece of the #goonpopulous.  You are beta bitches, and the real, authentic women of the world will not be swayed by your quest for gender supremacy.

To give you a metaphoric example of what I’m talking about, I’ll provide you with a visual aid.  Here’s an crude stop-motion cartoon I made back in 2013.

Now, if you, the reader, think I am being harsh on these misguided simpletons, take a look at some examples from the women’s march that you probably won’t catch watching mainstream media stations such as CNN, reading drivel like the Washington Post, or hanging around in such internet ghettos as Facebook.

When It Spoke I Took Notes & This Is What It Say

Hello again art lovers,

I hope you are well.

I’m alright.  I’m gearing up for the next phase of studies which of course, I will be posting here upon completion.  Today however, I have posted one of the last studies I finished.

ckirk_twifour_study_b

I’ve also been photographing some older works with a higher-quality camera.  The goal is to eventually have everything still in my possession re photographed, but that is a pretty big job and will take some time.  I’ve attached a couple of new images of the “Pet Gun” pieces from 2012/2013 below.

New Figure study “Siren” + Old Visceral Charcoal Drawings + Print Orders + Sold Archetype

Hello again art lovers,

I hope all is well in your worlds.

I’m well.  I sold a few works, landed a nice commission, and began some new pastel studies on builder’s paper which I haven’t quite finished yet.  Among the pieces recently sold was a favorite of mine.  It was an early 2013 addition to the Apoko-Lips series titled “The Occupation” and in retrospect, it showed that the Trickster archetype that Carl Jung wrote about was in full swing.   Before boxing the piece up for shipping, I took the opportunity to snap a higher quality photo which you can see below.

I also have some new print inquiries.  I figured I’ll take this opportunity to make limited editions available once again for a limited time.  I will be taking new print orders until Wednesday May 4th, 2016.  You can see pieces available in print form by clicking here.  If you’d like to order a limited edition print, please email me from the “Contact” page of my website.

In other news, I recently went through my art storage and came across a few different collections of studies from 2010.  These studies were created with charcoal, and chalk on 18 x 24″ paper.  They are very visceral and moody.  I shot high quality images of the work and have listed them on the “Shop” page of my website.  I attached one of the pieces below, but if you liked to see the other three, please visit my shop.  If you would like to see high quality or detail photos of the 2010 studies, please contact me from my website.

I’ll end by mentioning that I have completed my 4th pastel study on builder’s paper.  I have no idea exactly what I will do with the images.  Maybe I’ll use them for reference on future oil paintings.  Right now, I’m just enjoying the process of creating the figure studies.  Its been a long time since I’m worked on toned paper and I have to admit, I really love the contrast between the monochromatic figures and the warm brown of the paper.  Below is the recently finished pastel study “Siren #1”.

A New Higher-Quality Image Of Re Imagining GOZER

Hello again art lovers,

I hope you’ve all had a great week.

I became bogged down on the study for my last oil painting.  I’m glad I didn’t actually start squeezing paint out of the tube and smearing it on canvas yet, because since then, I’ve totally reworked the composition.  Anyway, I used some of the down time to re photograph some older pieces.  I’ve been wanting to re shoot quite a bit of my older work ever since purchasing a new camera over a year ago, so I’m pleased that I finally managed to get to the task. Below is a higher quality image of “Re Imaging Gozer”.  The camera captured a lot more of the detail, heavy smears of oil paint, and the vinyl/paper collage underneath.  Take a look.

In other news, the recent studies I found from 2010 will be on sale a little longer before being taken down.  These works have never been featured on my website and are available for a limited time.  They’re visceral, moody and on sale on my shop page.

New Higher Quality Photos of Old Agents Of Change + Goodies For You

Hello again art lovers,

I hope all is well in your worlds.

I spent some time catching up on something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time.  I finally re photographed the Apoko-Lips PRIMER pieces with a higher quality camera and now have the images displayed on the main gallery page of my website.  There are still a few pieces belonging, chronologically, with the PRIMER pieces that I haven’t re shot yet, but I’ll get to it.  Anyway, it was great to unroll the large-scale pieces and examine them again after all this time.  I attached two of new higher quality photographs below.

Some People Are Just Assholes But GRID Loves You

Hello again art lovers,

I hope the week has been good to you thus far.

assholes_one_scan-2

I’m great.  I just finished up a new triptych that I’ve been working on for a while.  The idea originated back toward the end of 2013 when I did three quick sketchbook watercolors while in Los Angeles.  The concept was much simpler at the time, but over the last several months, some things were stripped away while other brain candy was added.  The new version is not as raw as the original and much more design oriented.  It’s also missing a devil penis but I doubt anyone will fault me for that.

The Artist As Mythological Sex Machine

Hello again art lovers,

I hope you are well.

I’ve had a decent week.  Last week was good to.  I sold the 2012 watercolor “Horsecock” to a wonderful collector in New York.  I revisited the centaur theme in 2013 with the collage “Portrait Of The Artist As  Mythological Sex Machine”.  The collage sold in 2014 to a gent in L.A.  Anyway, after realizing my centaur pieces were both in new homes, I’m considering the idea of exploring the theme once again.  I think a new version would fit beautifully into Apoko-Lips.
